The process of choosing a publication outlet.

Finding print and websites for publication was harder than I thought.  I mean just researching them wasn't hard, but when you look at them you want them to match who you are as a writer and a person.  I mean you don’t want to submit an article to a magazine that goes against your personal beliefs just because they will publish it because now your name it tied to them.

But once I found one that I liked the fear seeped in as I looked at their past articles and those who have written for them and thought wow what a scary thought.  My work isn't good enough to fit with them.  I can’t do this.  And it was well wait yes I can this is what this class is about.  I need to get over my fear, what is wrong with no.  No doesn't mean never.  It just means not now, this doesn't work but keep trying.  Charise you have this.

Now that I have submitted not one but two articles I feel awesome!!! I mean I faced my fear.  I submitted one article to the school and this one came pouring out of me and then I also included a photo of myself.  I hate pictures of myself but I did it!  I also submitted one to an online magazine as well.  Thing is I love both articles and to be honest it’s so easy once one gets over their fear!

I will so totally do this again!  I have a voice that voice may be the one to help someone someday.  The worst anyone can do is say no I will not publish your article.  Well then I will just move on and try somewhere else.

Free Writing for ten minutes.

Man I not sure what to write. I have nothing to say, bbq meat loaf.  Autumn please stop crying.  Dinner smells done.  I can't think of anything to write. I can't think of anything to write I can't think of anything to write.  Love doesn't Run.  Love is etrenal and ever lasting and people this day and age give up to easy.  Yeah he fucked up big time but wouldn't I be a fuck up too if I gave up.  Love doesn't run.  I still love him it's worth fighting for.  Camping I feel like camping, I need a vacation.  Jon and I need a Vacation together.  Some where warm and nice somewhere we can get time just the two of us but can also take the kids.  I cruse maybe I wonder how much will a cruise for a family of 6 run?  I wonder can we swing it when school is over.  Gosh school sigh seems to be the double edge sword in this marriage who knew it would be so hard with two of us in the same time.  Who knew that we would fight over doing school.  And saying we spend to much time on it.  Really can you spend to much time on school work.  I mean as long as you are doing it and getting it that should be what matters.  I think we didn't think this through.  crap thinking of school I have to get the boys ready for school too.  I need to make sure they are registered and everything.  This is Ricky's first year so that's going to be hard sigh.  Oh and then we are going to have to deal with the shots issue I think he is up to date.   Gosh when are the creative thoughts suppose to be flowing it's been 5 minutes and this is just random stuff.  Where is the stuff that I can turn into a book.  A book I really do want to write one some day.  I would love to write something that gives people meaning in their lives, and makes them stop and go wow.  I don't care if it's real of fiction I just want to write I have for many many years since I was about 12.  Jon is the only one who believes i could do it. LOL he jokes I could write the next harry potter series that everyone loves  I think he's crazy.  After all, I am no good that is all I have heard about my writing.  Which is funny because I always did well in school but I have been picked on for my blog and other little errors.  I wonder is that what editors are paid for to fix those little errors. Oh who am I kidding I don't have the talent to write a book.  gosh times not up yet this is taking for ever.  I wonder what people are going to think seeing this.  This is random and so crazy but it's every thought. I just went blank grrr. I can't think of something to write I can't think of something to write. I have 2 minutes left yes.  This is fun but scary to think it's going out in the cyber world where people can read it.  especially since I can't edit it or anything.  going to really show them that I can't write.  Oh paper ripping did Jon write me a love note?  I hope so, I hope we can do that every day for a year that would be awesome.  Yes Times Up Bye

Seeking inspiration in life

Seeking inspiration in my daily life.

Life is wonderful and full of inspiration everyday as long as you are open and look for it.  For me I see inspiration in the laugh of a child, in the stars in the sky and in the breezes of the wind.  I also for me I can become inspired in my meditations, and prayers, when one is deeply connected to the divine inspiration can flow.

Every time I write, I try and meditate beforehand on what it is I should write or write about. Some times this works sometimes I need to go for a walk outside and just listen to nature.  Walk alongside the water and have my face in the wind and just listen.  Often I am inspired and know what it is that I need to write then.

I would like to think not only does my inspiration help me find my voice but also guide me in the style that I write.  I know that I am a wordy lady, and often it drives my husband nuts.  I am not a formal writer either.  But I write the words that feel like they should be there and in that order.  Often I try to have emotion in my words too.

Sometimes I do feel blocked when I am writing sometimes nature and life isn’t the right inspiration that is needed.  Like this week’s article assignment. Sometimes my voice doesn’t fit what it is I have to write about or I haven’t learned yet how to make it fit.

Over all I am still learning my writing style and finding what inspires me, I struggle and I grow like a seedling growing into a flower.  Right now I feel like I am still trying to bust through the soil.

The simple white cup that learned she was beautiful.

Once upon a time there was this simple little white cup that just didn’t know her power. She didn’t know how special she was and what she could offer her owner. She always thought her job was just to hold the gemstones for her owner that was on her altar, that’s it. She didn’t know that she held a special place on that altar. She would learn how special she was soon.

One day the little white cups owner came home with a blue cup that was bigger and prettier than she was, and she thought, “oh no I am going to be replaced.”

“Just look at that blue cups, she’s so big, blue, and so pretty, and I am small, white and simple. Just look at her etchings on the side, I can never compete with that,” she thought to herself.

“Hello,” said the blue cup after the owner left the room.

“Hello,” replied the white cup ready to hate this new blue cup that was out to steal her place.

“Wow, I have to say you look wonderful. And look at the important place you have this altar. You must be really special to our owner.”

“Whhhaaaattt? What did you say? Special? Look wonderful? Do you need glasses are your etchings over your eyes? Look at me I am simple in design and white. How can I be special look at you blue and wonderful,” replied the simple little white cup.

“You don’t see your own beauty do you?”

“No, I don’t.”

“You are white and simple in design and will fit in any room and any decor, I envy that. You are at a place of importance holder of the element of earth and next to the great mother. And I sit one the corner as an afterthought. You are special because you are simple, you will always fit someone’s needs while I will only fit a few.”

“I never thought of it that way, thank you.”

“You are welcome.”

And that was the day that the little white cup learned she was special and being simple wasn’t a bad thing. She learned not to judge so quickly or harshly. She and the blue cup became great friends. The white cup keeper of the earth and the blue cup keep of water, together they helped the owner preform great magic. You see looks don’t matter but what matters is how you see yourself, if you see yourself as special then you are.
